The 120Hz PixelSense touchscreen is the real reason to buy this over a conventional laptop. It is bright, color-accurate enough for client work, and the optional Slim Pen 2 adds subtle haptic feedback that makes on-screen drawing feel less like sliding plastic on glass. The pen also docks and charges in a tray under the front lip, so it is never lost. The trade-offs are familiar Surface ones: you pay a clear premium for the engineering, battery life under heavy GPU load is merely okay, and at over four pounds it is not the machine you forget is in your bag.
